FERTILIZER
Are you looking for a solution to outwit the crabgrass and broadleaf weeds that want to invade your lawn?
Fertilome for all Seasons II Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass and Weed Preventer keeps those weeds under control and fertilizes your lawn.
When winter ends and temperatures begin to warm up, buy some Fertilome for all Seasons II to get a head start on a beautiful lawn. Apply this product to your lawn in early spring or fall 2 to 3 weeks before seed germination.
This product contains prodiamine, a preemergent herbicide that prevents the crabgrass and broadleaf seeds from germinating. Depending on weather conditions, it will keep these weeds from germinating for 6 to 8 months. You won’t need to reapply the weed killer all summer long because it will last into the fall months!
For maximum benefits, irrigate with ½” of water after applying Fertilome for all Seasons II, or apply it before a rainstorm that gives up to ½ inch of rain!
We sell Fertilome in a 20-lb. bag that covers up to 5,000 square feet of ground. It comes in granules, ready to use with no extra preparation needed.
Is Fertilome Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass and Weed Preventer safe for pets? If you follow the instructions on the package label, this product is pet-safe.
Fertilome for all Seasons II is a fertilizer with a formulation of 16-0-8 and includes trace elements to enhance your lawn.
What do the numbers in a fertilizer formula stand for?
The formula for Fertilome for All Seasons II Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass and Weed Preventer has a formula of 16-0-8. These numbers stand for three important nutrients required for healthy plant growth – nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
The number 16 means there is 16% nitrogen in the bag of fertilizer. Nitrogen helps plants produce chlorophyll, speeding growth and giving your lawn a dark green color.
The second number in the formula stands for the percentage of phosphorus in the product. Phosphorus aids in root development and increases the amount and size of blooms on a plant. Phosphorus is important when seeding a new lawn or planting a new tree to give it a healthy start.
The last number shows that All Seasons II has 8% Potassium. Potassium serves many functions in healthy plant growth. It guards against disease, protects the plant during a drought, help a plant to tolerate cold, improves root development, and aids the process of photosynthesis.
Besides these three key ingredients, there are other nutrients and filler products in the fertilizer mixture. The fillers help you easily apply the fertilizer over a large area.
Knowing what these numbers mean can help you make a good decision on the kind of fertilizer your yard or plants need. If you are serious about a lush green lawn, you can do a soil test to learn exactly what your soil and plants need to produce beautiful vegetation.
